Victor’s Wednesday Selections – June 29th 2022

Hi all,

It was good to get off the cold list with a couple of winners at Roscommon last evening.

Kempton

6:30 – Dubai Welcome a C&D winner on is final start of 2020 showed he retains plenty of ability when returning from a 20 month absence to finish a 1 ¼ length 2nd of 8 over C&D 28-days ago. He was returned the 5/4 favourite that day and looks sure to be popular with punters once more after his latest effort. However, preference is for handicap debutant Findono. The 4-year-old who made a promising racecourse debut last spring when 3rd of 10 at Newbury and has run well on both starts (1m2f) this spring. He stays 1m 3f and looks the type to do well in handicaps. First start on the all-weather but his dam won the polytrack so there’s no reason to think he won’t be effective on the surface.

1pt win – Findono – 10/1 @ Ladbrokes or 9/1 @ Bet365 & Sky Bet

Thirsk

4:00 – Pendleton is starting to become inconsistent but he was a good ¾ length 3rd of 22 to stablemate Dakota Gold at York two starts back, sandwiched between to poor efforts. The 6-year-old might be slightly better over 5f, and softer ground but he’s dropped to 2lb below his last winning mark. Hopes are pinned on the first time visor, replacing the cheekpieces, having the desired effect. If they do and he’s on a going day he’s handicapped to go close.

1pt win – Pendleton – 6/1 – Gen

Cheers

John
