Bretney made all to win at Sandown on Thursday and delivered a well-deserved BOG 16/1 winner for the service. Given his proven stamina and the likelihood he would get an uncontested lead I was surprised to see him go off at such a big price. He’s the biggest priced winner so far of 2024 and hopefully will be the first of many in the coming months.
Today I’m turning my attention to one at Kelso.

2:55 – Cracking Rhapsody has improved with of his three starts over hurdles. And the 5-year-old posted a career best on RPR’s when 3 ¼ length 2nd of 4 to one of today’s rival Ginger Mail over C&D last month. He gets a 4lb pull with the winner and he’s open to the more improvement of the pair. I’m happy to take a chance with the bottom weight at 6/1 and above.
