2:30 – Asmund carries top weight of 9-7 in this nursery handicap. The Karl Burke trained juvenile put in a career best when 3rd of 17 in a 6f nursery handicap at Ayr 17-days ago. That was his first run since a gelding operation which seems to have had the desired effect. After his Ayr run I felt there was a nursery handicap in him before the season is out, especially when he gets ground easier than he had at Ayr.
Whether Asmund wants the ground as heavy it will be today is an unknown? However, he he looks worth modest play at around 7/2.
