A welcome winner yesterday with Oromo at taking the first division of the 1m 5 ½ f handicap in the capable hands of Rachael Blackmore. Sadly, a 35p Rule 4 took away some of the happiness. And with uncertainty over the weather over it looks like non-runners could be a feature of the next few days.

Apart from a promising seasonal reappearance when 3rd at Newbury last spring it was a disappointing year. Has switched to the David Menuisier yard and shaped with encouragement when 5th of 12 at Haydock 17-days ago. That was over a mile and the step to 1m 2f looks a good move and he will surely be placed to win sometime this season, by his shrewd trainer.
