Victor’s Sunday Preview – November 6th 2022

Hi all,

If the last few days weren’t enough for you there’s more top quality racing on Sunday. The Irish flat season comes to an end at Naas where the highlight races are two Premier Handicap:  The Irish EBF Birdcatcher Premier Handicap (12:40) and The Colm White Bookmaker November Handicap (3:47).

For jumps fans the place to be is Cork where it’s the Paddy Power Cork Grand National Handicap Chase (3:13).  This side of the Irish Sea Sandown race over jumps for the first time season. Ok, the field sizes aren’t great but it’s normally informative card at Sandown.

In today’s preview I have looked at the best of the races from Sandown, Naas and Cork and I have selections at all three meetings.

Victor’s Friday Preview – November 4th 2022

Hi all,

The best of the action in Britain today is at Exeter. Sadly, the feature race the Betway Haldon Gold Cup (3:35) has attracted just five runners. More on that later.

ITV4 are covering the best of the action from Exeter and Down Royal this afternoon. And of course, they have Breeders Cup Special on ITV3 this evening.

Inside today’s main piece you’ll find my thoughts on the best of the action on ITV and today’s betting advice is at the end of preview.

Breeders Cup – Saturday Selections

Hi all,

The rain clearly missed Newbury and there was a skew of non-runners there yesterday. I wish I hadn’t bothered going through the form for the card. Whether it was ground or the form of the Emma Lavelle yard I’m not sure, but Flemcara put in a laboured performance.

There may be some Exeter selections on Friday. If the ground is like it was at Newbury there will be a few non-runners.  Watch your inboxes for updates.

Anyway, here’s my Saturday selections from the Breeders Cup.

Victor’s Newbury Selections – November 3rd 2022

Hi all,

I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s Breeders Cup Preview. Saturday’s selections will be with you this evening.

It’s going to be a very busy few days with a fair few selections lined up.

The weekend gets underway today.  Newbury races over jumps for the first time this season. However, the good ground means the field sizes aren’t great. That said I have found a handful of selections which can be found at the end of the main piece.

Victor’s Breeders Cup Preview

Hi all,

The weekend American racing fans wait a year for is almost here.  Yes, it’s time for the 2022 Breeders’ Cup World Championships which this year is being held at Keeneland.

After a couple of years without getting to heavily involved in the Breeders Cup action I’m back with a bang this year.

Inside this preview you can read my thoughts on all the Breeders Cup championship races.

The action gets underway on Friday, with five races for 2-year-olds. “Future Stars Friday” feature three juvenile races on turf and two on the dirt

The Friday card is the appetizer for Breeders’ Cup Saturday. The card contains no less than nine championship races. The headline race is the richest horse race run in North America, the $6 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic.

Viewers this side of the Atlantic you can watch all the action live on ITV with the broadcaster covering all 14 championship races.  Just sit back and enjoy some mouth-watering action.

There will be more in depth statistical previews of the Breeders Cup around the web. However, for those wanting more of a pin sticker’s guide then here it is.  Friday’s betting advice can be found at the end of the main piece.  Saturday’s betting advice will be with you later in the week.

Victor’s Saturday Preview – October 29th 2022

Hi all,

There’s some good jumps action to enjoy live on ITV this afternoon. The broadcaster is covering the best of the action from Wetherby and Ascot.  At Wetherby It’s Charlie Hall Chase Day. The Charlie Hall Chase (3:35) is the feature race but there’s a good supporting card of races which include the Grade 2 bet365 West Yorkshire Hurdle (3:00).  At Ascot, which races over jumps for the first time this season, it’s competitive handicaps that provide the most interest.

Inside today’s preview you’ll find my thoughts on the big race action live on ITV and as ever today’s selections and betting advice can be found at the end of the main piece.

The Listed ‘Bosra Sham’ Fillies’ Stakes (2.40) is the feature race of a seven race card at Newmarket. It’s the start of the weekend and I have a few fancies around Britain & Ireland today. Here are a few thoughts on the Wetherby and Newmarket cards.  I have selections from both meetings as well as Dundalk and Friday’s betting advice can be found at the end of the main piece.
