Weekend Debrief and Monday Selections – October 28th 2019

Hi all,

Burtons Well landed some nice bets to make it a profitable day for the service on Sunday. It could have been even better as Sumos Novios had to settle for second at 10/1 under top weight at Galway.

I wouldn’t normally bother with Monday’s racing but there’s some interesting racing at Ayr & Galway.

Ayr

2:20 – Ettila De Sivola a bumper/hurdle (soft). The 5-year-old has just had the four career starts and appreciated soft ground and the step up to 2m 3f when runner-up on his handicap hurdle debut at Haydock back in March.  Seasonal reappearance and his first run since a summer wind op but he’s won first time up for the last two seasons, so fitness shouldn’t be an issue. Debut over fences off what looks a workable mark of 117.

1pt win – Ettila De Sivola – 7/2 – Gen

Kempton

8:00 – Kyllachy Gala is 2 from 16 on the all-weather, one win here and returned from a summer break with an encouraging 3rd of 14 here 19-days ago.  The 6-year-old was doing his best work at the finish that day over a furlong shorter and is worth another try at 1m 4f. Last win came here, off 17lb higher, back in April 2018.  Too well handicapped to ignore at present if he builds on his last effort.

1pt win – Kyllachy Gala – 5/1 – Gen

Cheers

John
