My first selections of the week and I’m going with couple over jumps. One from Ludlow and the other from Punchestown.
Ludlow
5:05 – Le Cameleon makes his seasonal reappearance, won on return last autumn, and has had wind surgery over the summer. He’s 2lb above his last winning mark which came over C&D in March (good). Three miles on a speed favouring track is as far as he wants to go and provided the rain doesn’t ease the ground too much, looks set for a big run.

Punchestown
3:00 – Como Park has shaped with promise on his three starts in maiden hurdle company, posting a personal best when a 9 ½ length 3rd of 15 at Tramore 55 days ago. There should be more improvement to come from the 4-year-old stepped up to 2m 4f on handicap debut. One slight concern would be soft ground as he was a non-runner twice last month when the ground was soft an heavy. Slight ground niggles means I wouldn’t want to take less than 4/1 about his chance today.
Lake Como – 1pt win – 4/1 @ Bet365 & Coral.
