A busy week of racing ahead with the highlight being Chester’s three day May Festival which gets underway on Wednesday.
If you like your Regional National’s, you have got one to enjoy one at Fakenham this afternoon. The Snellings Norfolk National Handicap Chase (4:20). Eleven line-up for the race and the two I like most are last year’s winner Tommie Beau & Jony Max.
Tommie Beau needs to bounce back from a below par effort at Southwell last month. However, he had won at Plumpton on his previous start and is just 1lb higher than 12 months ago.
You always must respect a Christian Williams runner in these marathon chases. Jony Max goes well on a sound surface and although he’s returning for the first time since November, he won last April from a 106-day layoff so fitness shouldn’t be an issue.
