It was good to get a winner courtesy of Bobhopeornohope at Ludlow. Mind you it could have been oh so much better if the line hadn’t have come to quick for Bun Doran who failed by a nose to catch Desque De L’Isle.
I’m going in again today with a selections from Hereford & Lingfield.
Hereford
1:15 – Nocte Volatus – 9/2 @ Bet365 & Coral – The 7-year-old won three of his seven starts over fences last season. Starts his season off what looks a handy mark. Has yet to win fresh but was well clear when falling at the last on seasonal return last December. I think he can win this of trainer Tom Lacey has him ready to roll after a 239-day absence.
Lingfield
1:30 – Mucho Mas – 11/4 @ Bet365 & Coral – Has finished runner-up on both starts since going over fences this season. The latest of them came when a 2 ¾ length 2nd of 12 here (2m 4f) last time. Nudged up 2lb for that effort but remains competitively weighted. Should stay 3m and it surely won’t be long before he wins over the larger obstacles.
